I guess I need to inspect mine before every ride, thats some major carnage for day to day riding. Seems like the Kenny Keepers would have helped.

Did the engine bed plate pull out of the hull?

Or did the motor mount pull out of the bed plate?

Or did the motor mount base stay in the bed plate, with the motor mount breaking/separating with half remaining on the engine and the other half staying on the bed plate?

Got it. So hull is fine. Engine bed plate is fine.

So does that SS Socket screw in the pretty blue washer just screw into the rubber?

If so, it should have been designed to be a SS hex bolt with the head on the bottom under the motor mount which goes up through the rubber through the pretty blue washer which should really be a grade 8 or 10.9 SS thick fender washer into a SS hex nut.

That way a SS hex bolt acts as a"limiting strap" such that the engine cannot pull the rubber apart because of the bolt/nut running through the rubber, but the rubber still provides some vibration damping.

Don't you think?

Your ride report in the surf in your build thread indicates that you really liked the performance of the Rickter Edge hull. Do you still like the performance of the Rickter Edge hull?

Would you buy it again but for this motor mount design defect/fragmentation?

Edit: I know you are grumpy now. I get it. So too soon to ask?
