Oil in stator area = bad crankseals?

My raider has had a running issue after heating up that I've narrowed down to most likely the stator. So went to put a spare on last night, and when I pulled the cover I got a lot of oil that came out. Between that and the random tiny washer I found stuck to the inside of the flywheel, I feel pretty good its the stator lol. That being said, this would mean the crank seals are ready for replacement correct? Any other way of oil getting trapped in there?

oil pump leaking? not sure if raiders have oil injection though.
unless someone put oil in there, the only possibility is through the seal.

How much oil and what viscosity? Do u see it dripping down the seal? The washer probably fell out of the front cover bendix hole last time someone had it apart. Some people soak the bendix in oil which makes a mess in there.

There's usually some oil poop in my beaters front covers. Since it's a sealed compartment , it's not going to be a direct air leak like the rear seal. If its rippin, it's not getting torn apart for seals. I've seen rear seals hanging out and the guy still riding it. All raiders have oil pumps unless deleted

Just about every engine I've ever seen has some oil leak by on the flywheel side of the crank seals. A little oil in that area won't hurt anything. All of the electrical is insulated and oil isn't conductive. Clean it up and put it back together. Considering that ski is probably 25 years old, wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the crank seals.
