Oil line broke, where can I get new one?

For those not following my misadventures, I just got this 1996 750 SXi that was sitting for a number of years.

Good news:
It started up easy.

Bad news:
It appears an oil line broke just from being old and getting crusty. Here are two pictures of I took, the first showing where the line broke and the second showing a close up. If somebody could let me know where I can get this tubing, it would be greatly appreciated.

There is a block plate available to block-off where the pump goes. Remove the pump, remove the oil lines, and remove the oil tank. Should be a ten to fifteen minute job, thirty if you drink a beer while doing it. :cool2: Pre-mix your gas and oil and pour it in the gas tank.

There have been cases where the oil pump or a line to it has failed and caused the engine to run lean and burn up. This prevents that from occuring to you, unless you forget to pre-mix.

It's easy.
First, make or buy a blockoff plate (about $8 tops) that covers up the hole in that front cover once the oil pump is deposited in the trash.
Next, removed the oil tank from the hull and throw away.
Buy yourself a "Seasense" oil ratio measuring thing from the boating secion at Wal-mart for $2. Premix gas & oil to about 40:1 to 50:1.

The oiling system is one more thing that can go wrong and kill the motor. You would never know it until it was too late

Edit: I type too slow. :)

and if that doesn't float your boat you can order some new stuff from RIVA and replace it all even if it looks okay. check all the hose and lines flex em bend em, if they break or are stiff- change it out.

WAB- you mean sell when you say throw in the trash:biggthumpup: we need all the money we can get for our babies- no need to throw a good pump and tank in the trash when you can get some dinero for it.

Yea block off! It took me less then 15 minutes to do on my sitdown. Makes it much more reliable, no chance of the motor crapping out and blowing up the engine, or if you have multiple people who ride it, no chance of someone forgetting to check the oil level. Go premix!

These seems to make sense especially considering the risk.

So where does one buy a blockoff plate?

SBT has them for 15 bucks, you may want to rebuild the carbs as well if its been sitting with a person who didnt know how (although that engine looks primo). Im sure John at JSS has them (www.jetskisolutions.com) as well as Im sure Kevin @ legdrag has them (www.legdrag.com)

All block off plates are the same, doesnt matter where you get it (you could indeed making one yourself), little piece of metal with a gasket and two screws, simple. Get aquinted to the smell of premix, smells great
