Oil rec.

Whats everyone using for premix? Ive been using wallmarts supertech tcw3 for $13 bucks a gallon apparently its made by penzoil, and its readily available and easy to take a quick drive to the store for some, anyone else using this??

Seriously for a few bucks more you can upgrade to semi synthetic blend with pennzoil marine...the super tech is non synthetic I believe. Have used that since 99 in the smaller motors.

Well in that case why run oil at all??? Run that poop dry nah mean, lol seriously tho, im just wondering because i know the supertech is for outboards and our motors can achieve higher rpms so i didnt know if it mattered, ran it all last season on my 750 with no issues that i can recall, just trying to make sure my new sxr is properly fed, thanks for the input tho

Doesnt that seem alittle low? Ive always mixed 32:1 on everything ive owned, and ive always been advised to by the techs at a yami dealership ive worked at to mix that ratio, 4oz per gal.

Honestly 40:1 is fine others will agree. I'm on Long Island so same weather guys here will run 40:1 or 50:1. I use 40:1 just to be on the safe side.

550/440

Maybe I'll get it all the way around NEXT time....

50:1, Amsoil. I recently ran out and had to run some Supertec, I noticed it didn't smell as nice, but my ski ran the same...

Never mix oils. Why in the world would you run 28:1?

I ran 50:1 in my SXR with Klotz Benol. I talked with tech at Klotz and they told me it was fine to run but overkill on oil quality. This was on my stock class SXR that I raced. Never had to rebuild it from 2004(new) til 2009/10 when I sold it. Still had the same compression from day it was new.
