Oily/Sooty Exhaust residue...

Guys , my ski always left some sooty marks around the exhaust pipe exit after a run , but they were dry... Since I fitted an Ada head , b pipe and 46 mm carb now after a run the deposit has changed to an oily sooty damp patch , (and more of it). The ski is going like the clappers and I am very happy with it , but just wondering if this is anything I should be concerned about... Thanks.

Could be running a little rich. But as long as it runs good, I wouldn't worry!! Sometimes if you run a thicker oil ratio you get some residue by the exhaust exit. Nothing to worry about, most skis have residue..

I don't completely understand the chemistry of it but its an aftermarket pipe thing, been through it twice. Tried to correct it because it was yucking up my walkway where I flushed it. I use amsoil and I think a cleaner burning oil may help.
