In the last week
Blew out base gasket Pulled motor and tore down found epoxy on cases soft???????
pulled motor out of RN changed crank seals installed that motor and electrics in rickter
Replaced motor mounts
stripped rn and sold hull
replaced starter
rode sunday
This week pull motor out of Rickter Make ready for new Motor Hopefully get short block install Flame ign and jet carbs
Pull pump and replace prop
tune sat and break in for 7 min ride like a Madman the rest of the weekend

Carb linkage came loose. Only one carb was opening...at least the motor survived!

Damn! That's probably the best mounts they made then, I havent been so lucky 2 years to date I've gone threw 4 sets of oem mounts, I'm testing cold fusion now.

I have never had to rejet from spring to summer and neither do my friends. But, I put my carbs on in very late fall last year during single digit temps and it ran really good so i never rejetted from my other motor. The summer heat has brought out a heat soak bog if you can call it that. I went from 122.5 pilots and 1/4 open on my highs to 120 pilots. and 1 turn open on the highs not a major change but it made a huge improvement. I hacked up a stock steer plate and redid my turn plate and riser setup.This should last for many moons. i also took a stock oem yamaha fuel cap/filler spout from a WB500 and replace the leaking kawi cap from my 550 tank. If you don't have to fix anything, go away! this thread is for the wreckers and trashers of skis.

Check - did that 3 weeks ago, as suggested, the epoxy is the key
Check - did that Sunday, new cable going in Thursday

my midshat is toast and so are my ada billet coupler and rubber dampner, the rubber around my midshaft has many big cracks in it and water coming in,

I have cracked my share of poles and reinforced mine around the base. Its the learning curve of the nose stab that would do it. when you don't know how to do the trick right, your ski suffers. i have only broke one old motor mount in 10 years of riding.
