Old guy wants lighter weight standup

Been riding since 92. Had a crap load of different standups. Last one I had was a sxr1500. Way to heavy to move, now that am in my 60s.

I want something under 320 lbs or so. Has to be reliable. Like a superjet. The new ones are just way to heavy also.

So. If you are selling, and close to Florida. I would like to hear from you. Under 18 k would be ideal.

I ride in the ocean. Hop waves, etc. No tricks. But I really dig acceleration.

I don't want to trailer it. I will use a hitch hauler, pickup bed, or cargo van, with a winch.

Been just waiting for available skis to appear on here. Figure this is less annoying for everyone.

Please send pics. Weight, etc

I’m in the same situation, 55 have a 1500sxr that is nice for cruising not so good for playing, the problem is most of the aftermarket hulls are built for an athletic 150lb rider, for me those days have passed. I’m personally thinking about a Rickter Edge, Krash Predator, or the dream would be to find a Hurricane Apex. I think these skis would ride flatter but still maintain a higher level of playfulness than the Superjet. I have rode several AM hulls but not the ones listed above. I would love to know what you land on and what you think about it.

@MikeR has some SJ's he is helping sell. May be what you are looking for. This is one of them.

Superfreak badass -4.3 is the ski you want based on your criteria. Short enough to still be playful and wil still do flips, rolls etc and long enough that the ski doesn't ride nose up. In the surf is where you'll appreciate the handling of the ski the most. It has a lower center and is very wide. They're also pretty light. Most weree built with carbon. Mine is actually fiberglass. It weighed 117lbs with the turf, pole and hood ratchet strapped on.

I missed a chance on a Titian, it still hurts. It was one of those “if you buy one more project Jetski…” conversations.

That sound like the rig I want. Light, quick, and stable.

I found my hull from a friend of a friend through word of mouth. I wanted one because I think they're the absolute sexiest looking standup ski ever built but had never ridden one. The one had been sanded down some so it was a project. I did some Glass work to it to bring it back to life. I got to weigh it yesterday after a quick ride. With 3/4 tank of fuel and some water in the tray/turf after leaving the lake, it weighed 326 lbs. It definitely rides very light. The superjets that were weighed with the same scale were in the 350lb range.
