Old xScream adjustable pole

Do these use a spring? My basket case wdk came with a spring but I don't believe these use a spring? It has two pinch bolts on the side, nothing that goes straight through. Any ideas? I've never run a pole without a spring before.

You can run a thru bolt and a spring if you want but tight is the way, at least for me. Not sure how short a rok is but a tight pole takes a lot of pressure off of your back as you can really lean into it and changes how you handle the ski. It's personal preference and you'll find out quick if you like it or not.

Interesting, so when you take off in deep water the pole stays up in the air?

Depends how tight you crank the bolt/nut and if your plastic spacers are in good shape.

Interesting, I need cable seals anyway so don't think I'll be getting out today.

Any ideas on how to seal these? They've been drilled off centre with the pole mounts. I'm not sure what the parts are called I would need. I think I only need one of those hood grommets, and I'll block the other one up with some neoprene, unless anybody else has some better ideas.

You need some pool hose. Run both. You will need to grind out the hull so the tubes will clear. This is how your hull with get air for your motor.

Yep. Sealed the front ones, redrilled for the slightly further back pole mount. The holes weren't centered and it was very annoying.

Wife had some spare pool hose, just gonna run that up into the pole and we should be good. Need to borrow a hole saw tomorrow and we should be ready.

I used 1.5in vacuum hose on mine. For the pole spring I used a modified sxr 800 pole spring. The blowsion superjet spring did not fit. You can run a through bolt. Jet maniac sells them.

XS pole hose goes through both holes and up into the XS pole. They are for the cables and to provide air to your motor. JetManiac stocks the XS pole breather hoses and other parts.
