One handed surf riding

Judges? Last time I checked the only people at the beach when u were riding were a bunch of fat rednecks on quads from bakersfield..

Huh, there were at least a couple of judges at Surf Slam last year. You shoulda come up! :biggrin:

A different thing: there was one guy in from Aussie while I was visiting O-side last, I can not recall his name, nice guy though.

That was Jero- Jeremy Flemming. Super cool guy and a great rider also. Hasn't ridden since that day Haha! BTW niether has Eddie or Mike! What's up with that???

I do not think it was Jero (pretty sure I know him by name, but all know I am awful with names). The guy and his friend went to breakfast with us (you were in a hurry and did not go recall...the day my ski ran out of gas I think); he was the one planning a recon mission down south silly, if that rings a bell. I wish I could describe what he was doing better. I haven't spoken with Eddie since right before Tona, but I thought he had been out a few times since then John. Either way, he better! Slacker!

wow, I guess I'm a kook too.. God knows a couple guys in California make all the freeride rules and regulations. Hey, can I get a list of what is acceptable riding so I'm not the "that guy"..

i was referring to the other 364 days in the year when the prestigious surf slam is not being held...

i know it is the culmination of countless hours of tray time, cardiovascular exercise, weight room training, studying film and contemplating/perfecting new tricks to wow the crowd that these world class athletes put into it...i wouldn't want to embarrass myself..

Ross was helping, but time limitations caught the promoters relative to ski transport this year. I do recall Eddie’s ski was down at that time. Will shoot him a link to see if he can confirm the mystery riders that day (his highness might even post if the thread doesn’t get locked, lol).

Suzi was it Simon? (Simon has blond hair) Theres only two Auzzie guys that I can remember riding with, Jero and Simon. Jero I know well but Simon only rides Oside once or twice a year. I think Simon lives somewhere in the LA area, or at least the last time we spoke he did, I've only met Simon a few times. I think he bought a Rickter a few years back??? He could have gone back to Austrialia also I haven't seen him for a while.

I am clueless with names for the most part, but I do recall he and his friend were extremely pleasant company; for some reason, I think they were visiting our country, but I do not know. I do not even recall what they were riding, or which guy of the two actually did it. Maybe Eddie will recall. Jero has brown hair and blue eyes (darn funny guy), correct?
