Jon and Stephanie Horne (Hornedog) in Havasu, They did not know I was coming, even told me to fly out and stay with them. Well, my tickets had been booked for weeks. I kept trying to text and figure out where they were when I got there, Well, I saw them walking after freestyle and walked up behind and took a pic and texted it to him, but it took to long and finally said loud enough "Dude, check your phone". Well, We had a good laugh and I got to see Stephanies baby bump, due in late december/january. They even said, breaking Jr in right, get him use to Havasu!!!!!!! Well, Later that night Stephanie went into labor and delivered their son at the Havasu Hospital. Jonas was Flown to Phoenix and Jon and Stephanie drove the next afternoon when she was released. They have a long road ahead. Jonas was approximately 28-30 weeks (they thought 26). I have been in their shoes but not to this severity. My daugther spend 3 weeks in the NICU. They are looking at at minimum 1 month stay in Phoenix and possibly 2 or more. Jonas had to have surgery last night. Have not heard anything this morning. If any of you can help I know it would be greatly appreciated. They are set up in a Ronald McDonald house for the next month. But will still have plenty of expenses. Anything you may can do would be great. Please copy link and spread on FB and Instagram if you know anybody that might want to help also. 20161007_134754.jpg

Best of luck to them! Hope they can all go home together soon.
Not to derail, but Landon, who had the kidney transplant last year, still drives 45+ minutes each way, every day, to the NICU to see his son, Logan, who is now about 13 months old. He was born at about 24 weeks, though..
I'm sure Landon could offer any and all advice they may want, if they're interested.

Is the gofundme me on that thread still ok to send money to? I'd like to donate to them as well.

Edit: or just send me Landon's PayPal and I'll send it to him directly.

Is Jon on here or can one of you guys get some info from him for me? I assume since they are away from home they could use some extra clothes. I thought I would send a care package with a few of my shirts so they don't have to go buy a bunch or have them shipped to them from home. I'm a little low on inventory of bigger sizes so hopefully he is a smaller guy lol. If you could ask him what size he wears, what size tee his wife would wear (mens style tees), and what address I can send them to I'll get those sent out ASAP.

He can text me (Brandon) directly at 303 931 6041 too if that's easiest.

Thanks.

Thank you all so much. We don't know what to say. This still doesn't feel real. We are 2000 miles away from our families, work, vehicles, our dog, our home. I was born and raised in the mountains of southern Appalachia and I'm currently living in downtown phoenix. We feel helpless and scared. I had acl surgery earlier this year, busted my face riding my ski a few weeks ago, and laid our 11yr old basset hound to rest last week. Just not sure how much more we can handle. We appreciate anything especially prayer. Thank you . Jonas was 25 weeks 6 days when he decided to show up. His due date was January 14. We will likely be here until then.

He's doing ok today. Head ultrasound looked normal so that's very good. Each day is a roller coaster ride but they say it's to be expected in the NICU. He had a bowel perforation on day 4 which required surgery to insert a drain in his groin. Doctors feel like it has now healed and they'll slowly remove the tube starting today. Still on ventilator until his lungs improve. They just did a heart ultrasound and we're waiting on results. He weighs 980 grams today.

Steph and I are adjusting to life in Phoenix and the NICU. I'm less overwhelmed by the city but the hospital kinda freaks me out. Steph is just the opposite. She works with vent patients everyday so she handles that part fine. Traffic and people, not so much. I've decided to ship our car out here because it'll cost 3x as much to rent. I have a bid out on Uship but I'm open to suggestions. Current low bid is just under a grand.
