300/440/550 One of those embarrassing moments

Hopefully, someone will find this as humorous as I did.
Yesterday, I was wrenching on my old 550. I dropped a washer down in the engine compartment - not the first time. I had both arms wedged under the exhaust trying to use my finger tips to pick up the washer without shoving it further under the motor.
As I was cramming my arms farther and farther under, just when I was about to snag the washer, one of the legs on my PVC stand gave way.
The ski went crashing to the garage floor with me still lodged inside it. My face slammed against the exhaust manifold as it hit the concrete. Both my arms were still wedged inside.
I thought for sure that I broke my arms. Both elbows are black and blue and my swollen forearms look like Popeye's.
I think I need to invest in decent stand, don't ya think?

try fishing your washers out with a magnetic screwdriver and if you don't have any put a little grease on the end of a normal screwdriver.

LOL! Did you laugh at the time? Were you alone and almost wishing someone else could've seen it?

I do stuff like that all the time. (not putting my arms in skis - embarrassing myself when I'm alone)

Hope you're OK!

lol theres been times i thought i might be stuck putting arms in odd places on a ski however a stand breaking at the same time yeoooww

Too bad someone wasn't there to laugh at me. Although, I probably would have been pissed off at the time since I was in pain. But later on, I would have had someone laugh my a$$ off with. The story doesn't do it justice.
I can't see any cracks in the hull. One of the ride plate inserts came loose and I tore off one of those side sponsons, which I already fixed. I need to check the motor mounts.
