Nice Gil ! I final rode a SXR in the surf last weekend, Thanks D Slicker ! It ripped with a pipe on it. I rode it for about 20-30 seconds and was barrel rolling that thing off 1-2' waves... Thing ripped and was alot of fun ! Nice work on the footholds. I would change that pole out and get something alot shorter to get you over the ski some more. that will help you in any riding conditions, especially Freestyle.:Banane01:

Pete,
Congrats on your first clinic. Sounded really cool!

Thanks Bro. Give a shout, and come on down !

I really liked D slickers SXR Xmetal set up... comfy and sweet looking ! :Banane01:

Yup, I'm at -4" with my home made pole and its not changing, very happy with the length, my mate has the -2" xmetal, also a winner, anythings gunna beat that peice of foam they call a pole that it comes with.

Whats it made of??? When you crack it theres fibres there but they're all dry and powdery doesn't look like conventional glass/resin layup. I put my face and shoulder through mine trying big stabs before I got my footholds, ski went down first with me taking a head first dive at it (no helmet) woke up floating next to it, thankyou lifejacket. But I didn't even cop a bruise, that stuffs soft.

PS sorry for the hijack Gil, but I had to stick up for your killer :cheer: SXR :cheer:

Hulka,
In the year or so I've hung around here and pwctoday I don't think I ever seen a positive comment out of you, maybe you couldn't do much with your kawi but theres plenty of us who are pretty happy. I don't feel at all limited when I'm out with a bunch of very talented superjet riders.

I think you're missing my point. I had a ton of fun on my kawi. It was the first ski i ever modded. But to put all that time and money into the kawi just didnt pay off in the end for me. Im not saying anything negative about it, cause my ski pulled very nicely, its just the kawi hulls are such beasts that its difficult to do anything flatwater. No matter what you're on, as long as you're out there ripping it up, it really doesnt matter what i think or what you think.

fair enough dude :Banane35:

I just think by now most people doing the SXR thing know what they've got and its limitations and know all about superjets, so I get a bit tired of hearing

"sell that awesome ski that you've spent your time and money on, that you're out in the surf every weekend on going nuts, and buy a superjet"

But as you say, its all good as long as you're getting wet :Banane01:

the back 2 pole mount bolts-I used the existing 10mm bolts that go thru handle pole bracket and into the hull. Took about 1 minute to do.
