I don't have to tell him the air quality. My air qaulity is in my fuel numbnuts! I run VP CHP that has 15% oxygenation!!! People kill me, they will spend 30k building a ski and then run av gas or pump gas.......

Would you be saying then that relative air density means nothing if you use an oxygenated fuel.

You also stated that he can give a perfect tune if you give him your information are you then suggesting that every one is using a fuel that magically doesnt care about rad( relative air density and temp) ie your vp as well.
As I stated before. No one can give you a prefect tune over the phone or via email

theyre all pretty much the same design... mikuni soo the difference people probably feel is mostly in the tuning. thats the big difference is who tunes it and how much time they spend perfecting it. my 2 cents... i have a 48 power bomb every one says they are untuneable but i dialed mine in and it rips. im not saying it is the best

Here are the facts,

IF you tell Art your COMPLETE setup and then buy carbs from him, you don't have to know how to tune them. Art sends them to you, you bolt them on, and you have perfection!!!

Oh, and did I mention they are ALOT cheaper than Novi's and Full Spec's?

The 48 Novis,48 BJ's and 49 FS's are all within $100 of each other per pair, not sure when you last bought carbs, I just called all 3 in the last month for carbs to put on my ROK. As far as GroupK it'd probably be a waste of time.

I don't think anybody said that. But the carburetion info posted on his site is from 1998. Some of it is just outdated.

Agreed Matt, how come no one else can seem to put it in perspective? At the time thats how the carbs were, things have changed today and great strides have been made by all the builders. At least Harry took the time to compile all that info back then. Same info that everyone wants today on the current products, yet no one will put in the effort like GroupK yet they get bashed.

I think what group k is out dated in respect to the carbs out there but the law of physics hasnt changed. When he was talking about signal he was pretty good. The carbs have changed a fair bit but the principal is the same. They all work on the princibal of air flow creating a low pressure and making the fuel flow that hasnt changed

I'm running a cpt 771 ported cylinders Solas mag Ada head, 96 rn chopped -3 and rockered,

You could use a pair of standard SBN46s as long as the engine turns over 7000 rpm, even then part throttle will need to be richer than it would with a pair of 44s. Some of the new Novis have a 48mm plate with much of the venturi intact so they would be best "big" aftermarket carb for smaller engines. Carbs with no venturi can be very sensitive to tuning. GroupKs info is not incorrect, just geared towards full throttle running on cheap gas.

cant go wrong with a set of blackjacks. art is just so experienced that he asks numerous questions about your setup and sends the carbs out with the jets adjusted to what he thinks is an optimal tune. and 99% of the time its pretty freaking dead on.i know i unpacked the 44s he sent me,bolted em up,and after they were primed, they have gaiven me 0 problems.i didnt even have to adjust them. i was very surprised that the jets were right where they needed to be.
