Super Jet Opinions on this head

I got this protec head and according to protec it should only have 2 water outs. The rear 2 are factory. Would I benefit from using one of the added ones instead of a factory one?

unless you are over heating I would leave the 2 new ones plugged. You want the cylinders/head to be around 130-140F

Do I even need to use 2 water outs? I was running 1 on the stock head with no issues?

If I did run 2, where does the second one go? Directly to a pisser?

The very generic rule of thumb is if you have dual cooling coming in then 2 outlets on the head.
Single cooling coming in then 1 outlet on the head.

All the y fitting is doing is balancing the flow through the cylinders and making sure they both stay close to the same temperature. Water pressure going in is still the same since its getting its water from one feed still.

On the head I would do the exact opposite. Pick the two original NPT locations and have a y or tee fitting bring it back down to one, feed that to the pipe, out of the pipe to a tee, one leg of the tee goes overboard the other goes to the stinger of your b pipe, possibly with a flow control valve if you want.

If you have two outlets with only one feed you may end up with poor flow though the head and hot spots.

Yes. Both go into a tee or y fitting and that single 3/8 feed goes to the headpipe. This will give you the balanced cooling that dual outlets provides without having issues of not enough pressure.

Can I run 1 inlet on the factory pipe manifold? Front or back? I can’t figure out a way to make both work with a single line in

you can but its better to use both off a tee or y like you pictured. That way both cylinders get the same amount of water.

My opinion of course. Besides you would have to plug the second npt thread.
