Surfriding Options on a single carb for 62T

Location

I have a heavily ported 760 62T/61X motor with dual 38's at the moment but would like to swapo for a single as i ride surf and want it to be a more simple set up.
What are my option for best performance output as i don't want to lose power.
I have a friend lending me a ATP single mani with carb to try but some say try the Blowsion mani with a powerbomb carb?
My current set up is FR2 Evo with 760 ported with B pipe, stock ignition and mod waterbox...will be going for a MSD enhancer very soon to.

I have a 62t case ported 701 61x with the adapter and a single carb mani. Runs great. Using a 44 since it's only 701. Maybe a 46 or novi 48 single would be an option for your setup

Before you make a change, check your high and low screw setting on your dual carbs. If they are not the same, which they probably wont be if tuned properly, you are going in the wrong tuning direction.

My old ported 760 loved the dual 44's but the mpg was Killin my ride time and distanc. Swapped to a older full spec 49. Seemed to run out of steam on the top end.
IIrc- black spring 2.3 or 2.0 ns 130 pilot, 180 main.

Really the dual 44's were the best that motor had. They were dialed in. But it was in an x2 so I had to run a smaller tank. I would be empty with the duals while my buddies would have 1/2 tank.

UPDATE - So i have now got a 48 Novi single on a ATP mani.......Powerwise i'd say i have gained a fair amount and my top end is not affected either. I was wondering what the fuel consumption would be like but that's unchanged also.
So i would say it's well worth doing as ive gained the simpleness of the single with a nice increase in power... i can also get my electric box out without taking my airbox off too :)
