Oside Crew Biggest Waves of 2013

We had 8 to 12 foot waves last saturday, here is a little video. If you havnt had a chance to ride some BIG waves, it truly is amazing and a video cant do it justice! I get taken out by a good sized wave at the end of the video!

Great video thanks!!! Videos never do wave size justice! We get some huge surf on lake Michigan here and on go pro footage it always looks tiny. We had a wicked windstorm two years ago and there were waves marked at 21-23 feet in Sheboygan by the coast guard-and we spent the afternoon riding in it with a few brave surfers and it was insane! Gives you a whole new respect for the power of water. A friend had some footage on his cam and it didn't look crazy big we were bummed but at least we knew what it was like......and the local paper even got some pics of us and Zack made the cover

great vid! big clean waves like that are a real treat.. vids dont do it justice as others said, when your riding in waves like that and they are about to curl over a few feet away its an awesome experience..

The song is "now we are free" from "Gladiator". I thought it would be good for slow mo and big waves. It's always hard picking out music, thought I'd try something different.

so sick ! great video the surf does look big to me in the video. but then again i have video of the surf we rode at the lone star free ride and it is no were as big as this looks.

How is the getting pushed under by these bigger waves with a floatation vest on?

I have been waiting for a video of anyone riding mavericks or some comparable monster waves. did not know how that would work out with the vest if you fell off.......lol

This is Randy Laine at Todos Santos a few years ago. I havnt seen pictures or video of anyone riding a bigger wave. The story goes that Randy went out with a bunch of pro surfers and they had video of him riding these monster waves but since he wasnt surfing the photographer deleted the video!! At least he got a couple of photos out of it. I think the vest is a good thing. Its hard to swim with shoes on!
