Blaster paining please help

Can any help me I want to paint my blaster can I just paint over the factory gel coat with automotive paint ?

are you just going to paint directly onto the gelcoat with automotive paint or do you plan on priming it first?

Sand imperfections out and complete ski to 800 grit, then use sealer, base and clear. Yes you can paint over the gel just sand first.

For the ultimate job 180- 220 , epoxy prime , 220 to 600 depending on paint system, sealer , single stage or base clear , 1500 to 2000 wet sand, dual stage compound buff .
