Paint code for yamaha black

Does anyone know the paint code for yamaha 2013 black? Need to get my hood repainted. Thanks.

It's gel coat so not sure if there is a paint code to match directly. Bring to paintshop and they can use a machine to mix the paint. Otherwise I would just get a gloss black, paint the hood and buff out the surrounding areas so everything has same depth and shine

The hoods are paint not gelcoat, that’s why they all flake off. Come on Mike B, you know this.

I never knew it was paint. I was always under impressing it was all gel coat. I just know the blue hoods chips. Figured it was something with their source of blue gel coat lol

colorite.com can even put it in a rattle can, great stuff and you can look up any year and ski

I'm dropping the hood off to a body shop this week. If it's primed correctly it shouldn't flake... I hope! I know my old SJ never had this flaking problem.

Let us know how it turns out. I work in paint and body, if you have any additional questions feel free to ask. I'd recommend the removal of all the old paint off before any work is done!

They should be able to color match it themselves.

I had my 2004 hood done at an auto body shop and they used the black from a 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse they were painting at the time. Matches perfectly.
