That is the Solas Mag pump right? I am going to be running the same thing. Do you have dual cooling on your head/exhaust too??? how are you running your water lines??? i am kinda lost... and that piece that sticks out after the pump, isnt that for the stock bilge??? could i cut that off for a little better water flow???

Got the pipe in and started running the hoses and put my turf on to protect the hull. It is realllyyyyyy tight.

So fyi, nobody EVER use rustoleum aluminum paint. The inside of my hull almost looked like the tin man. I had to disassemble the whole thing anyway but this stuff comes off to easy. It is not gas resistant or oil resistant. It is useless. I am going to be re painting it with black appliance epoxy.

If you don't have a budget then you already did the right thing. At least if it needs to be re done again in the near future, it's relatively cheap.

I wouldn't waste time with powder coating since it will likely just come off again within the first season. If you plan on keeping this ski or at least the pipe for awhile, I recommend you save up your money and get it ceramic coated. The finish is corrosion resistant for years longer than any other coating and there are some performance gains.

Here is my ceramic pipe after 3 seasons of salt water.

I read about the ceramic coating with firearms. It's nice, but if it chips I can't just break out a rattle can and fix it. Same with powder coat. I'll see how some engine paint holds up and if that fails too then I'm just going to strip it and coat it with fluid film.

They call it a coating but it's more of a treatment similar to bluing only much harder. There's nothing to chip or flake off, it's literally impregnated into the surface of the metal.
