Surfriding Pawleys Island South Carolina or nearby riders look here

First off, let me start by saying I know this might be a long shot but figured I would give it a shot.

On July 24th I will be heading to Pawleys Island, SC for an 8 day vacation. I was told we are staying in condos/houses right on the beach, etc. I don't know. I didn't set it up, i got roped into going (girlfriends family) and just said yeah heres my money.

My question is, do any of you live in that area or ride in that area or know anything about it? I don't travel much to the coast and would love to ride in the surf to try it out. I was wondering if anyone would let me ride their ski for a little bit one day. Doesn't need to be a beefed up AM ski or anything. Id be happy with a 550 even. Id prefer a SJ since Im used to riding one and/or a BOB hull but again just want to ride in the surf. I guess my second question is, does anyone know of any place that rents stand ups in that area? Not sure if I can travel very far to neighboring areas since we are flying but figured I would give it a shot.

Any information is greatly appreciated. Again, I know its a long shot but you never know until you try. Thanks for reading my rambling post while watching Shark Week!!

If I had a superjet still, I would consider driving down that way and riding with you, but Im not ready to take my new RIP in the salt water yet.

Join the "Charlestone Stand Up Jet Ski Riders" Facebook...I think they have a pretty active group of members and that would be your best bet.

Me and a buddy will be down at carolina beach the 30th and the 31st of july, we plan to ride both days if you want to join us

Sweet. I'll check out that Facebook group and definitely get ahold of you @jo5hi3. If all else fails, I'd just like to watch you guys ride in the surf. They initially were going to drive so I was considering towing my ski out there but now no one wants to spend 18 hours in a vehicle so we are flying.

Post up some pics of the place if you can ,its been a long time since i have been there , but from what i remember the place was nice .enjoy your stay and good luck getting your ride on !
