Custom/Hybrid PFP on a 760

Is fitting a pFP a waste of time on a jetmaniac 760?

motor will be
760 jetmaniac
38mm carbs vf2 reeds
light weight fly wheel
epic ignition
ada head 190 psi

I can't get my hands on a bpipe and a pFP is available 2nd hand for a good price? What are you thoughts

Going in a xfs

It seems like no one has really posted any results of a pfp on a smaller engine. I say go for it and post your results. Worst case scenario is you have to take the pipe off and resell it. If i had the funds I would already have a pfp on my 780.

There have been several people who have posted results about a pfp on engines as small as a 701. General consensus was it works, but needs compression

I can get one for the same price as a b pipe and water box so since I need both I may as well just get the pFP
just might make jetting it hard as Im fair away from all the guys in Australia that can tune carbs

Huge difference vs stock or vs B-pipe

Huge difference over b pipe, power is everywhere. Fully ported flat top motor msd ignition running 32 degrees static. Must have a mag pump to put the power to the water. I'm running a single 49 full spec and had to go up two sizes of both main and pilot jet to accommodate for the pfp. Spins a 11/17 hooker with ease. Also running only only 170 psi.

Wow, assuming "with ease" means the same to you and myself that's impressive, My old 771 didn't like the 11/17 or even the 10/16 Hooker for bottom end, I was running Xmetal everything dual 46 carbs and a mildly bored b-pipe

I thought I was going to be way over proped but it worked out perfect took some time tuning in my reduction nozzle size with the Solas mag and super aggressive jet dynamic intake grate. Also played with the water routing on my motor and pipe found fully adjusting my fcv to the maximum then adding three small washers worked excellent with a 125 jet in the stinger. Also only running a single cooling up here in Canada was more then enough I wasn't making power if my motor wasn't hot. This is on a npv motor fwiw.

Jetting would be similar to that of a 760 with a R&D or type4 dry pipe i would had thought, info should be out there mate, B-pipes in aus are impossible to get.

PFP suck on a stock 701, about half the power of a bpipe. (jetting same as bpipe)

did that answer your question, no.

My home away from home.
You will really dig the pfp. I am running a 10/16 hooker, but am dropping back to a 9/15 to get it to come on easier. The hit is awesome though. Definitely not going back to a b pipe after feeling this. I have a 781.
