PFP on a 760?

Weve run 5 or 6 701-760 superjets and other freestyle skis with PFPs, theyre all much better than say a b pipe. They work better with a good ignition system and advance, with nice compression and good fuel. Warm motor and pipe up using restrictors or adjustable pissers

Programmable is the way to go, it allows you to get the advance to ramp up quickly, but " pull the curve " back to prevent damage to the motor later in the curve. MSD enhancer wont get anywhere near the best out of this pipe

so upgrade the msd enhanser first then? heard that it has to be a programable ignition?

You just don't get enough advance off of the bottom to help the pfp. It doesn't have to be programmable, the msd is pretty safe across the board as long as you don't advance the stator at all. But msd total loss or something similar will make a huge difference.

Wow this is great. I've asked so many people about this same set up. And everyone has told me not to waste my money. Just to stick with a b pipe until I buy a bigger motor.

I wish i ran mine wet, i really didnt have the time to monkey around with my setup during the summer other than what was needed. Dry was impressive though.

Also i only told you to get a B pipe because if i recall seth33 has a ET967 thats running a b pipe with great results. Which is what you were after..

Run what ever gives you the best power. I started trying to tune mine wet but liked the power I got dry so I ran the rest of the summer like that. I will try wet again this summer now that I'm use to the power and ride of a new ski. The key is to tune to your setup and to spend time on it and try different stuff.

@jo5hi3 runs his setup wet.. Wet is always better :p

I do run a wet pipe.... But it's not the tiny pfp chamber that was designed to be run dry. You can run whatever makes you happy, even though you may leave power on the table cause of it...

Also @Th3g3rm4n4t0r, you might not want to take for fact what you hear from others...... specially ones that lock up a ported 701 twice in a short season.

I went from a big bore with a b pipe to a 701 with a wet PFP in a different but still very lightweight hull. I wish I could compare them better but from what I can tell so far the PFP is definitely a nice upgrade. Missing a tiny bit of bottom, but my pipe isn't quite tuned in yet either. Both with lightened flywheels and an enhancer.
