Just wanted to share my hull purchase experience I had with Josh.
First of all I just picked up the ski and man do I love it already, it's a work of art for sure. I bought this hull blind not having seen it in person nor test riding a demo hull but it was the right choice! I never heard of josh at all and with all the crazy story's on the X about the previous builder was making this choice scary at first. The deposit was not a surprise which was half of the hull cost. I initially was going to purchase the hull in December but having the holidays I didn't want to make a deposit until January and Josh was fine with that because his crew members celebrate holidays like any other should rather then work. I was also informed that he was building hulls for the previous owners mistakes and my hull would be built after some were done and I was fine with getting in line. So January came and here I was ready to make my deposit, josh sent me the build sheet to fill out. Build sheet was simple and my deposit was made jan 9th. Josh got to ordering parts and didn't hesitate to start the build. Still bearly knowing josh he called/texted me every time he had a question for me. If I missed his call he would tell me to call him back or he would just text what he had to say. Josh would send me pictures and updates on the build without me having to ask for them which I really liked. He never forced me to purchase the hull, ask me for more money nor left me hanging with anything. He also asked if I needed anything other then the hull like pole bracket, turf, intake grate etc which was good because I ended up purchasing a few parts from him vs paying for parts shipped to my house. The paint choice I had was very simple and clean and I felt like I stopped josh from showing his paint skills but I'm sure someone will have something crazy for josh to paint and he will get the job done. My initial due date was February 13 for a solid color paint job but I decided I wanted some visual carbon instead so it pushed my due date which I had no problem with because I knew it was more labor work. Hull was finished march 3 but I didn't have time to pick it up yet so it sat for a week but josh never complained or asked me to come pick it up nor to pay him the rest of the hull. Picked up the hull march 10th and finally got to meet josh in person and man let me tell you, the dude was cool a$$ fu(k! From having him buff the ski before I showed up to loading and packing the ski up in the back of my truck like it was to never be scratched was awesome. He showed me around the shop and I got to see a lot of molds and a couple of his jigged up parts. Josh informed me of everything he did on the ski and what not. I couldn't believe how bad ass this hull was in person. I haven't even rode it yet but I already know it was the right choice I made and I don't regret it at all. So I just wanted to share my experience with you all and if anyone is looking to purchase a phantom hull or anything from josh I hope you all have the same experience I did . Josh was very trustful and helpful with this whole deal that I had to write this up. I went from being scared to purchase the hull to a very happy customer and I thank you once again Josh.
I'll post some riding pictures and videos as well as a review later on but here are a few pictures of the hull, it is a carbon infused epoxy that weighed in at 57.8 lbs hull, hood, latches, hood seal, paint etc.
