I'll give tips when your ready to start makin covers ! Save ya all the stupid bs I went thru!Got it. I have the H.F. press so I can make those dish washers. (But would gladly pay for the Mikeysx kit.)
Awesome work! Thanks Don ! Yeah she had her suprises. How's my turf look ? First time doin footholds.
Like Don said , Mcmaster. You can't look for brand names though, you have to search based on what it is you're after. Adhesive nuts should get you there. Make sure you get to stainless, they have both. As far as welding, everything I've made that I've posted was stick welded. Stick is Quick ! I did have my buddy Flash weld the cart interface of my carrier though. It was a lot of thin wall and my machine doesn't have the greatest duty cycle. Sometimes you have to know when not to do a job.I have some questions, but if it is not appropriate for me to ask them in this beautiful thread, just let me know and I will start another thread and ask you the questions there.
1. Do you have a link for ordering Rotaloc bonding inserts? I can't find a dealer/ distributer on the web and it seems that neither Amazon nor ebay have them.
(I want six each Open Base F1-RB38 Metric in 10mm-1.5, 8mm-1.25 in Stainless
and six each Open Base F1-RB23 Metric in 5mm-0.8 and 6mm-1.0 in Stainless)

2. I weld steel poorly. And I always figured that I would move on to welding aluminum poorly. But maybe I should move on to welding stainless steel poorly first. What are you using to weld your stainless?

Update: Sanoman, I typed in "Rotaloc" in McMaster-Carr and it came up with nothing. I did find generic "Adhesive Nuts" but it did not state whether they were open base or closed base.
Doesn't JetManiac sell those weird nut doodads as UFO Mounts?I have some questions, but if it is not appropriate for me to ask them in this beautiful thread, just let me know and I will start another thread and ask you the questions there.

See Ducky's post just before yours.Holy crap! You are doing all your welding with stick? I have an older Miller Thunderbolt and half the time I stick the stick rather than start the arc. You skills are simply incredible. When I get time I will spend some butt time practicing. I didn't even know I could weld stainless with it. Thank you for detailing your work. I never took shop, so your thread is my shop class. It is encouraging to see someone set the quality standard so high and then show that it can actually be achieved.
Thanks to everyone, I am looking for Rotaloc again now.
Thanks Ducky, posting links exceed my available computer skills, lol.McMaster-Carr

4th item down on the right side.
Oh yeah. You'd be amazed at what can be done with stick. I'm no welder but am fortune enough to know guys that are friggin artists, they can point you in the right direction but it's all about stick time. Believe me , I've stuck my share of electrodes.Holy crap! You are doing all your welding with stick? I have an older Miller Thunderbolt and half the time I stick the stick rather than start the arc. I use US Composites 3:1 with West 404 mixed to a peanut butter consistency for bonding metal to glass or carbon. US Comp 3:1 works great for laminating, bonding. Works well with additives based on the job your doing. I also like US Composites for one stop shopping. What type of epoxy do you recommend for the Rotaloc adhesive inserts? I bought the Rotalocs from McMaster-Carr and I am stoked to fabricate my dish-washer epoxy molds.
I am installing Tom21 sponsons on my FX-1. I am using the stainless bolts he supplied which are called Hurricane (Sidewalk) bolts with the Rotalocs. Really wide double (cross) slotted head.
