Send Zack a pm. I will talk to him today and have him get in touch with you asap. I had buildup like that when I first ran Amsoil and switched to Klotz and problemon was solved. Also like Jace said your motor could be running way too cool and not burning excess oil. Either way Zack will get your issue solved :)

Thanks for all the replies.

Ive gotten a few new perspectives on this..

The engine might be running too cold, since I've never hassled with the cooling lines since Blue used to ride it in FL. The ski is now in Denmark where the water is way more cold than FL. So that might be a partial problem, but ill definitely look into that.

It leads me to the next issue discussed - choice of oil. Your throwing names around like Amsoil and and Klotz. Here in Europe, Denmark you dont just grab those brands down from the shelf. Since the ski hit Denmark its bin running on 2,5% oil. Castro Power 1 racing 2T, Full synth. We've been running that oil for years with no issues - but first stroker/PW engine we have bin running it on.

Ill make sure to contact Zack to get his point of view.

You could try taking some of that sludge, if you still have some around, and put it into a glass jar and add a little gas to dilute it. Shake it up and let it sit. If there's water in the sludge (water intrusion) it should seperate and you'll see it. Just a thought

pfp in first post.... Spray bar facing back into cylinder ?

That oil isn't TCW certified for cooler running water cooled 2 strokes
It's API TC certified for hot running air cooled motor cycles. The castrol line up didn't list a marine 2stroke oil.....

Iam running a TCW redline synthetic oil @40.1 in 56 degree water with 2 3/8 cooling lines and and 2 out, no restricters and I'am on the cold side and get some thick black goo in the coupler.

If I ran in the Denmark 43 degree sea, and switched to non marine TC oil still at 40.1 without adding cooling restricters I'd expect the amount of black goo I'am getting to increase

He might have a combination of all three

That Castrol oil is brilliant, run it in all my skis and its A1.

I did have a similar issue to you a couple of years ago on an XS1000 - it turned out to be ignition related (lack of spark / poor spark) - it would fill the front PV full after a couple of rides (rear was fine) - swapped the HT leads over and the issue followed the lead. It was breaking down spark at certain RPM = oiling up.

The hard starting and poor spark kind of points to ignition issues. Looks like your 'four stroking' i.e. Not cleanly burning on every revolution hence the sludge. I'd check coil and pick ups / Gap first if it was me..

Have you got a spare coil you can chuck on it?
