PHP Crew visits the Mitten!

It's Wednesday today and I had Monday off due to Columbus day and I'm still tired from the weekend!

Zack from Power House Perfomance in Waldo WI came out to Belleville MI to drop 2 new PHP898 motors to me and @clouse22. Zack arrived with his crew around 12:30 AM on Friday to @cgibso14 place and they were ready to drink beers and assemble some jetskis!

This is what it looked like right before they showed up.

After Zack parked his rig these were the first things out of it (besides a case of Busch Light)

1 pump gas motor for @clouse22 and a race gas setup for me.

The boys got right to work getting the motors ready to drop in. @N3vrSat1sfied was a big help to both Bobby and I as wrenching went on until 6 a.m.

I had some more work to do than Bobby so I had to say away from more beer than I wanted to. I left for home to take a quick nap and get back early to button up a few things.

PHP crew was ready to roll in the morning after only a few hours sleep. They made everyone biscuits and gravy for breakfast. A meal fit for kings!

This was their setup. They also brought a few skis to Demo.

Let the Saturday Test/Tune/Demo begin. @powerhouseperformance crew was awesome giving everyone time on their personal skis and helping Bobby, Chad, Corey, Chad's buddy Chad, and I get are skis tuned in. Zack took my ski and Bobby's ski out and made them look like pro setups. He ripped backflips left and right with both hulls effortless.

Here is a few pics from the ride at Corey's place.

I know there are more pics from guys out there and a few videos. A few guys can talk about the wild beast of a ski they rode. (Zack's Superfreak)

So here are my thoughts:

Zack makes a killer motor setup. My PHP898 motor setup with Novi 48's on a PHP manifold w/VF3's, PFP, 155 Skat mag pump, MSD total loss with the impeller I had on it was crazy awesome. I only rode it for about 7 min due to having to leave for a concert but...I went out and rode it for 5 min made a setup wake and landed my first ever backflip on my first attempt. I AM NOT A GOOD RIDER...yet. This motor tossed my ski around effortless. This motor makes power everywhere bottom, middle, and top. You pull the throttle and you'd better hang on. Before I bought this motor I spent a lot of time with Zack making sure I had everything lined up for my build. He can build a setup around whatever you want to do or whatever parts you have. I had a set up of SBN46's I was going to use before I decided to pull the trigger on the Novi's. Zack really takes his time with his customers. His customer service is top notch. Every time I had a question he got back to me the same day if not within a few hours or sometimes a few min. That is real respectable for a guy who's hobby is building motors while working a full time job and raising a family. I don't think I have ever been on the phone with Zack shorter than 10 min and the reason for that is his passion for the sport and riding.

If you are looking for a great overall experience with the jetski industry (not many out there) and looking for a motor that performs beyond expectations get a hold of PHP @powerhouseperformance

Everyone needs a little Special Sauce from PHP in their ski!

Also Sunday before the guys took off we had some great PHP burgers from the big rig. Zack repitched a few impellers for us and gave us some tips on optimizing our pump performance.

Thank you @SpaceCowboy for creating this thread. For those of you that know me I have recently been an xscream guy and have wanted to step up in powerplants from my stock stroke motors. I was dead set on an xs900 10 mil, but ended up changing my mind after talking to Zack from PHP on the phone and going with his PHP 898 4 mil with his intake and novi 48mm carbs. While a lot of my decision came down to $$, I really felt at ease with my decision after talking with Zack. He took the time to explain some things to me and most importantly stressed that I DID NOT have to run race fuel with his motor (contrary to what most people have told me in the past). Also, how cool is it for an engine builder to make a 6-7hr trip to come help with the install of a motor as well help tune/dial in the setup. This really showed me how Zack and his crew are committed to making the customer feel important/happy with their purchase and how they want their products to be represented

I was blown away with the setup from first brap of the throttle...here are some pics/vids from the hot hole ride on sunday 10/12/14. Funny part is, the pics and vid below are with my ski having a blown waterbox, so the ski was not at full potential.

let me get this straight. you buy a PHP motor, PHP comes to your place to help install it, brings beer, cooks multiple meals, lets you ride their pimped out skis, and tunes your ski to perfection? WOW sign me up. EDIT: and you back flip your ski on your first ever attempt! wholey crap

It was a awesome time, i got to hang out for a while on saturday. Zack was really cool and knows his stuff, i didnt have my ski there and havent bought anything from him yet, but between tuning and riding he took time to answer all my questions.

Being around zack you could tell just how pumped he was to be doing this stuff, which is a nice change.

We have a pretty good PHP customer base in Michigan and close surrounding areas. We arranged it so all the owners/new owners and potential customers could meet Zack. My only complaint is him and his crew couldn't stay longer because they are a dang good time!

Thats pretty cool. But I have one huge problem here......... You let them bring their own Beer. Cook yall Breakfast, and then Lunch............... You need to be horse whipped.........................

I dont think you understand Corey's beer fridge! Ya they brought their own flavor but the amount of beer at Corey's could last a night or two....

and they wanted to cook, they came prepared with food.

Positive vibes for sure. Can't go wrong there. Between the RCW boys and the PHP crew its nice to hear nothing but positives out of multiple camps.

Good choice on powa-plants and builder.

Awesome write up! I wish I could've made it:( work blows! Next year multiple times for sure!

I can say that since before the start of PHP Zack has always been a mastermind of the jetski world and one of the nicest guys you would ever meet! I'm fortunate enough to live 20 min from him and have not only a great friend but a genius to tune and mod my ski. Without him I would have been out of this sport years ago!

For anyone looking for the best customer service and products (imo) hit up PHP! Oh f*ck yea bud!

Zach sold me, unfortunately I had just picked a scream 865 a few months back or I would of snagged up that 3rd motor he brought with him. Next time I'm ready to upgrade PHP's phone will be ringing. Thanks again guys for coming out, it was a great weekend, and a pleasure meeting everyone!
