Custom/Hybrid ping pong ball thread!

This all started because I broke 3 motor mounts on a failed boat wake roll the other day...

I had no illusions about foam staying dry forever but when I ordered my hull I wanted it ready to ride so I let it go knowing that I would someday have to deal with it. That being said....Jeff did say, "dude that thing is so sealed it will never get wet". But knowing what I knew it pretty much went in one ear and out the other....

1200 plastic beer pong balls and versiplugs on the way...

Pics coming soon but it it just another defoamed hull...nothing special...

And the dang footholds weigh like 3+ lbs. each!

And this hull still felt light to ride....just didn't feel light when picking up the back....

Yep balls ordered.....US composites and carbon/glass ordered...

Now I have to figure out if I want to use these footholds again or go with some Wamiltons....

I have seen the ping pong ball thing first hand.....glassed in trusses made from strips cut from the original tray provide support...and the beer pong balls won't absorb water and are stuuuuupid floaty!!!

Thanks guys I'll think about it. I may carve my own....

A superjet held about 1000 balls (these are smaller than real ping pong balls) so this ski should eat up all 1296!

I used 288 beer pong balls and topped it off with polystyrene foam. I installed sit down drains, alot cheaper than versi-plugs. Good luck, have fun!
