Pipe help???

Just dropped in a 750 motor and using a 650 pipe with about a 4" extended cone. Do i need a stinger in the end of the pipe? Here's a pic of the head pipe. It's been tapped on the back side.

I don't think that will be big enough, I used a stainless steel neddle valve off of a bink's spray gun and I can adjust the water flow.
Maybe something adjustable would be easier for you also.

depending on how much water the head pipe dumps into the exhaust flow will determine whether you need a stinger on the pipe. I would think if that is the case, drying it out and adding a stinger fitting may help performance. Best test, ride it and see.

Not sure about the 650 stuff, but I put this Westcoast pipe on a 750 w/ 44SBN & I need water in the stinger. The pipe had two sets of instructions, w/ & w/o. So I had a 50/50 chance. Without water in the stinger it CONSISTENTLY blows exhaust hoses. Learned from experience.

You can always plug it or block it off if you feel you don't need it.

Did you decrease the hole underneath that brass plus you have on your head pipe any?

As per the WestCoast instructions, the 750SX did NOT have the stinger fitting and the 650 instructions did. I used to have a copy of them but i mailed them in the mail many years back to a guy and I sent my only copy by accident.
