SX/SXi/SXi Pro pipe questions

hey everyone. I have a 95 750 SX and I'm looking to put a pipe on it.what pipes are good? What pipe should I stay away from? Who's got what out there?

Factory limited pipe. the only one worth the dough! I have one on my 750 and the power increase and throttle response increase is unbelievable. If you have the money, definitely go factory. Coffman pipes are cheaper, but you get what you pay for

I guess he has run them all,the Coffman's,R&D and PJS all rip on the 750. The Factory is a good pipe, but "Holy Grail" night and day above the others, IDK about that. B refers to the Yamaha mani/head pipe from Factory, everyone calls it a B pipe. Factory used the B to separate them from the Kawi stuff.

Factory b pipe - limited chamber. The pipe comes with two diff length chambers. Mod pipe is short, limited pipe is long. Limited pipe moves the power band down a few hundred rpms. Noticeable difference between the two should be close to 0 though.

Info is correct but not sure how it applies to a Kawi? OP, the Coffman you are talking about should loop back to the firewall into the Kawi water box,if you use inline ball valves to fine tune the water for cooling and to the stinger you can get really nice powerband and not burn couplers. You can buy a Factory "B" pipe, but it will be really hard to make work on a Kawi lol. Get what you can afford and what is "complete",hard to go wrong with any of them.

what do you mean "really hard to make work" on a kawi ???
Uh,they are made for a Yamaha like I previously stated and the manifold will not mount on a Kawi. B is just designation for the Yami head pipe. If you get a Coffmans and have any ?'s you can call Gary Coffman and he is very helpful

I had both on my 95 back when, I started with a Coffman rocket that was run out the back on a inline silencer, It was loud and it did make decent power, However it was worth what i paid for it.. about 150 bucks used. I then put a 9/17 swirl impeller from impros in it and the ski came to life. the pipe/prop combo really had to be together to make the night and day factor possible. I switched the coffman out to a factory limited as shown above. (My coffman had a bizzare vibration and eventually stripped the threads on the manifold. probably a casting or position flaw..) The Factory cost me about 500 used and was awesome. along with the prop now i could dial in the low end and added a jetworks valve as well as a factory pipe waterbox. ( it was a system) it was pricey but on that ski it really was the best bang for my buck. I know sometime FPP gets frowned upon for prices and lack of abilitly. but off all the pipes ive owned. That was the best bolt on part ive ever been impressed with. I still have a few FPP and Riva,Protec pipes on skis but that sxi750 FPP was a keeper. My .02

I have ran a factory mod pipe and didnt notice much gains except top end, switched to the limited and love it. Well worth the coin IMHO. BTW a lot of people call the Limited pipe a B pipe which is incorrect but I see it all the time. If its made by factory its either a limited which has a center bleed and uses the stock water box or its the mod chamber which uses the end bleed and will not run right if you try to run it through the water box, I tried.

I have the r&d pipe on my ski and I like the power increase over stock, I Have Not dried it out yet at all so Im sure it will rip. Also I highly recommend the 9/17 skat big hub swirl prop and freestyle cone!

Another vote here for the Factory limited pipe. Big difference over stockers that I've ridden. By the way, there's usually a used one available here or on Ebay if you want to go that route.
