I personally notice brightly colored lines on wetsuits show up well during certain extensions when I am snapping all of my photos (my eye gravitates toward them), so it could make a difference for the judges as well when he is competing, even if subconsciously.

Edit: I prefer the lines that run the full length of the arms and legs, for they tend to emphasize/enhance each extension.

Seriously, I didn't think of that! If you look at some of the photos of the extreme extensions some of the top competitors are doing these days, that could be useful to catch the judges attention and memory...prob look pretty cool!

lol, I remember my days of competing, and what I was taught about lines, body language, and how specific clothing apparel for these lines to be emphasized did indeed matter.

Kind of way off subject, but when I did compete in freestyle (snowskiing) we were instructed to wear striped stuff so the judges could see technical crap and extensions better. And yes that was WAY before corked nines.
