Because of the tsunami warning, everybody who was camped on the beach Thursday night was told to pack up their stuff and leave. By Friday morning, Pier Ave was completely filled with people on both sides waiting for the beach to reopen. The beach was finally reopened at 3:45 pm

The tsunami warning was all over the local news

Because of the late reopening of the beach and the surf blown out, nobody rode today. Instead they concentrated on getting set up for the weekend while the sun was still up

Getting back to Mile Marker 4 and setting up camp.. Again

Hope u guys got better waves on Sunday. I was gonna come back up but i could barley walk after some of the beatings I took on sat..
It's worth a mention saturday and sunday the waves were 5-8' head high to a couple feet over head
on the sets.Saturday it just had this morning sickness from strong onshore winds from the day before and it did not take long in the early am saturday before it was blown out.The big ones had little if any shape no combo swell. The sets closed out for the most part.I dont barrell roll but I did a few under water holding on to my ski.Sunday was much cleaner surface conditions yet still had very little shape for surf riding.Lots o fun hammering the lip on those close out sections though.

Here's a few I took from the short time I had to shoot. The sets are really far out in Pismo and my lens is a bit on the cheap side...

Yea, early sat we were out on the backset and I was mostly just watching you rip, but we were on the same wave moving north. I cut down the face and out of nowhere just got a glimse of you coming and let off the gas....instant sub. No foul, pumped out after a tumble or two and fired right up. (all in black on the ski below.)
