Pismo is still closed, where else can you ride in the surf along California coast?

Pismo is a ohv park is that why it’s legal to ride in the surf.

You can still ride there. But you have to dolly your ski down from the parking lot. No more driving on the beach until hopefully the 18th.

You can also drive down on Old Port Beach and launch for free at Avila Beach CA. You just can't park on the beach and you have to ride a little bit to find the surf but it is a very protected launch area with calm water and they have a fresh water washdown area near Fat Cats restaurant. Used to be our go-to spot to ride back in the 90's.

I live in Santa Cruz and I don’t think you’re allowed to ride in the surf. Is it only legal in certain counties or ?

Not really sure but pretty much all of the Monterey Bay area is a marine sanctuary which is why you can't ride there. As long as it isn't a marine sanctuary or military area you should be fine.
The only area you can't ride in the Pismo area is Vandenberg AFB and the area around the Diablo nuclear power plant as far as I am aware.

What about over at Bodega Bay i have a trip there next month just curious if anyone knows never been there i guess im to stupid to understand the maps iv found

I think those zones on the maps don’t include the surf areas. You have to be a certain distance from shore. I could be wrong but I’ve never seen or heard of anyone riding in the waves anywhere.

Correct! Off shore only and not in the surf zone
