I'll be coming in from arizona is their any weird regulations or restrictions I should be concerned with; and camping fees are payable at the entrance during the day or do you need to go elsewhere?

Yes you can pay fees at entrance gate. Also, the very first post of this thread there is a link if you would like to do it online and reserve it.
