So the TDR was loud enough to upset someone off the beach. If it is annoying at that distance then it is certainly annoying to beach residents weather they complain or not. Why is there an almost perfect correlation between jetskiers and obnoxious behavior??? Reinstall the stock muffler and grow up.

why do you always say something that makes sense than the next sentence be a doosh all the time? the :):):):) is your deal? its called a waterbox and zion is pretty damn grown up being close to my age and having his :):):):) together aswell as a business so how about you quit being a jackass 'holy then thou' 24/7.

i agree that the tdr is waaayyyyy to loud but :):):):) that renter. renting= no rights IMO.

get a NEW style xscream water box. it has a deep tone and is as quite as a FP waterbox not to mention small and compact. get it and be done with it.

The difference between a $400,000 boat, a Harley or a load a-- truck and our skis is simple, they go on by and you hear them for a few minutes at best. We on the other hand tend to stay in one area and they will hear you for hrs. sometimes. If I rode in a location like yours I would DEFINATELY run a stock WB to minimize the obnoxiousness. Just makes sense really. But that does not discount that dude was an A__hole.

Loud waterboxes bring out azzholes on the beach that will want to give you a talkin' to. I've had it happen myself.
I tried being snarky and had some fun doing so.
Ultimately, I went to quieter waterboxes to avoid the situations altogether.

There is simply no reason for ANY twostroke with a tuned pipe to be loud. They can be quieter than stock without any power loss. The powerboat crowd have no excuses either since they have room for a good muffler. Poor behavior transcends all tax brackets, especially at the lake.

So to recap .

1. TDR BOXES ARE TO LOUD !
2. The guy (renter) was a jerk
3. Renters don't have rights ( they are hardly real people )
4. Kevbo makes good points and follows with an off color comments

Seriously , Loud boxes don't enhance any performance so why have one ? Dry stock boxes do and they are loud enough. I'm very sensitive to my neighbors needs be them renters or not . I think noise is a VERY IMPORTANT thing to consider as we draw enough negative attention just riding doing our thing . I wager noise is the single most complained about issue concerning PWC operation .

We as a group should give this item some serious R+D . If we don't we will find more and more places off limits . Make no mistake we WILL loose this fight 10 out of 10 times .

Right it is understandable... but If you knew my riding patterns you would know (Unless I am at a freeride) I am ALL over the place. Ride 3 bays every hour. I hit up the public beach for a few min, then head to my bay which is private, then i will head to a different bay which is private for a few min. When I ride alone I am all over the waterfront.

Well It was just a rant anyways. I dont live in a small bay, or a small lake. you can barely see sky scrapers across the lake.

I forgot!
hey andy, we had the same thing at the upper river in town. the drunk guy across the road yells and calls us idiots for making noise. the cops did get called on him because of his foul launguage and threats. the cops did nothing, they laughed kinda, and said to not aggravate the situation. Then they were at his place for 2 hours. we don't ride in town because yes you can hear our skis for kms away. anywhere in town, you can hear the skis. a few of us have the Xmetal old box and if you have decent compression, it is too loud. Also if you have a flow valve, service it to make sure it is not stuck so it does put water in the box. kevbo does have good advice and don't disregard the growing up thing, when i was younger i liked loud stuff, cars, music, dirtbikes but as you do "grow up" you tend to learn that just because i wanna jetski, doesn't mean everyone else in a 5 km range needs to know it. I changed my ride spot but for xeon that ain't happening nor should it. wave days isn't a problem because the wind tends to drown it out. In the mean time maybe you should look for a better waterbox. I hate a-holes that have to f with your buzz but at the same time i don't want to be pissing people off either. give a little take a little?

or you could have avoided the conversation altogether by revving the crap out of your ski everytime he opened his mouth. what? brrapp, cant hear ya brraaaaapp... sounds good dont it?! braap braap.

cmon... When I am on my ski I like to forget that I am grown up and have to deal with chit business wise almost 6 days a week. These toys are my escape from realizing life is begging to suck. Lol, So I will ride with loud pipes, drag my truck or my car down the highway, run open headers on my street rod, thruhull exhaust on a future boat purchase....

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA, I can totally picture that. reminds me of a Family guy episode. Something Peter would do ( for those who watch)

I was actually thinking of Bill Murray in Caddyshack with the leafblower "cleaning house" would be fun to talk like him too, out of the side of you mouth.

hes going on about the noise and you start telling him how much horsepower your ski has and offer to show him some more moves, only closer so he can get the full effect. lol
