piston size?

im rebuilding the top end....dont know any history of it prior to me owning it...

i measured the pisotns and its approx 3.280" is that stock size or has it been bored out before

its a 98 superjet 701 what is stock size for the 701 motor? does it make a difference between the two diff 701 motors (as in the 61x or the the other one?)

81mm is std bore in a 701 engine of any style.
Oversize Pro-X or Wiseco pistons come in .5mm increments up to 83mm.
The 760 engine uses 84mm bore as standard and pistons also come in .5mm increments up to 86mm.

so would it be a good idea to get the 83mm pistons and rings, cyl are in good shape just rebuilding b/c compression was a little low and im redoing the whole ski, ive refoamed returfed and etc and going all out thats the reason for rebuilding so the rings should seat the difference of the .3 right? thanks so much for the info
