Freestyle Pitch Problem or something else??

hey guys. purchased a glass rok last year and then had my 701 sj blow up so i stepped up to a Dasa 904. since money has been tight i was hoping i could get away with running what i thought was a 13/17. took first trip out today and anything over idle it just spins. tough to get it up and going. finally grabs good at 40% throttle.
what would the pros recommend. my riding is freestyle to freeride. i want the low end but also want to be able to chase down a boat. please dont talk me into a mag pump, i just dont have the $.

sounds like you have an air leak and the pump is cavittating pull the pump off and reseal it with some silicone and try again if it still no good call dave at impros .com he will help you out

you got to explain that some more. im not following you. the pump seal is bad? where would i be getting the air from?

the pump area above the rideplate is full of air. if your seal is leaking it will pull air into the pump from that area. you could be spinning the prop with that big motor but if you had the pump out and reinstalled, it could be an airleak. i alway put sealant on the seal just to make sure it don't suck any air.
