I'm planning on going to daytona. I'm looking for a place to stay. I have the 4-day weekend off. I don't want to pay for a whole room, rather just pay my portion of the room and sleep on my air matress. PM if you are interested in accomidating so we can talk details.

I am solo so far. I may drive down solo as well. doesn't look like this semi trailer is getting off the ground. I have a non-ocean veiw at teh makai for r, f,s,s.

I have 4th floor Oceanside at Makai, FRI, SAT,Sun. so far two of us from the state of Washington ( maybe looking for a little ride time)

I don't care where it's at. I just care that I'm staying with good people. I don't mind a few people riding a ski, but they need to prove to me they can handle a ski (ride another ski, no bogus "oh, my brothers x-girlfriends uncle used to let me ride his 440, so I KNOW what I'm doing!!!", prove it.)

I have a 750 X2.

And for proof. Own a standup or borrow one from a friend and let me see you ride. If you can ride a stand up, you can ride an X2. I just don't want people who can't handle a ski on my ski for the 1st time in 6' surf.

I have probably 20 hours on flat water and my 1st experience on surf was 8 footers and I'll be the 1st to admit I got owned. I don't care if I break my ski but I want to do what I can to keep the ski running all weekend. So far, it's sea-shy.

Tim got to watch me get rolled in the shore break. It sucked. At least I can blame it on the ski not starting so I couldn't get out. Either way... I was a newb caught in the shore break!!! Tim towed me in with a 3' rope. I was scared shatless the whole way in he was going to fall and I was going to crush him! :eek:mfg:

Errr, he hates X2's, rode mine a few times but never really liked it. And as for riding surf, have no fear he has ridden in bigger stuff than you have probably seen. The Washington/Oregon coast generates some downright scary $hit that will eat you for lunch, the only thing I hate are nasty 6 foot shore breaks.:aargh4:

I told my parents I was going so they knew where I'd be at. My mom thought it was wonderful that I was going to the freeride. Then I said something about staying with someone from texas. My mom freaked. She said I was going to have my kidney stolen and she wanted to pay for me to have my own room. She kept asking me if I carry my social security card on me because i shouldn't have it. I think she worries too much. However, I will appoligize to her if I come home on the 15th with no kidney.

Please, if you see me at Daytona, watch my back, my Kidney is in danger.
