Other Plasti-Dip a ski?

So, I was curious. Has anybody ever plasti-dipped a ski? I see it being done on cars and such, didn't know if it would be good to go on a ski. If nobody has I may just have to try it this summer. It seems like it would provide a good alternative for people who don't want to wrap it or completely strip it and paint it.

I have done it and I wouldn't recommend it. The first time we gassed it up we dripped one drop of gas on it and it bubbled up and started pealing. Also where the pole closes down on the hood the pole contacted it just a little and it scuffed it. It started pealing there too.

Plastidip is good in white. It is NOT permanent for sure. I sold the ski I painted in the forum. So I do not know about how it lasts against gas, the surf, sun. I would listen to them though. Its lazy paint pretty much. Just paint it you will be much happier

How many coats did y'all use? I know it's not gas resistant. I'm never painting a ski again. Waste of money. Will either wrap it or do something else.

It's a good option to wrapping, you can go: solid color or try some of their FX. Gunmetals, or pearlizer
# of coats varies by color and undercoat.
- upper SJ/blasters , maybe 6-8 cans

Def try some of their other effects. Pearl/Aluminum/gold or combine colors.

The Blazes(Very BRIGHT) are cool, cause they aren't fluorescent (Dipyourcar.com), and therefore won't fade. (as quick)

Dipyourcar.com has almost enough videos, on the subject, to get a college credit.
