Play in the steering...

Dudes , checking over my 93 650SN and i find i have a fair amount of play in the steering. I expected to find the problem at the steering or rear end. But it seems to be the cable itself. Is it possible that the inner cable is expanding and contracting as it is pulled and pushed to turn left and right..?? Confused..!! ><

Have you checked your bushings? Those can wear out and cause issues. I have new oem bushings if you need some.

There are bushings on the turn plate and at the pole pivot bolt.

I have a few sets if you need them.

i need some of these bushings. can you email me cannibal440 at g mail. took my SN out today after its been sitting on dirt for 16 years. noticed the steering has play in those bushings and between the ball and hitch in the pole.
