Please help: OEM 44 (64X) carbs on Pro-Tec 62T manifold - no jetting question! ;-)

Yeah, your manifold has 2 extra bungs.. sweet... so you'd remove the 4 studs from manifold, uses counter sunk Allen's to hold your carbs to your plate, and use the manifolds extra bungs to hold the plate to the manifold. Gaskets above and below your plate...

No need for a thicker than normal plate
Thats a good idea, but unfortunately there is Not enough room to reach the screws under the fuel pump/diafragm :-(

Isn't that another aftermarket manifold designed for carbs way bigger than 44mm so it will still have the same problems other than the mounting issue?

It worked just fine when I ran 44's on mine... when I switched to 49's the speed plate and intake opening below the speed plate needed to be opened up more.
