i reinstalled the primer lines last night. the kid of primer you pump. well apparently pressure built up in the tank and it seeped in the motor. carb is fuel of fuel and so is the motor. what do i do.
I had a dirt bike do this one time when the float stuck open, had to drain everything and turn the motor upside down and crank it over to get all the fuel out of the bottom end. Drain it all out... just make sure you are outside of the garage or you may not have a garage left, or house, or jetski, or anything else.
You can take the plugs out and turn it over BUT DISABLE THE IGNITION,
Or just spin it over by hand with all switches for the ski in the off position.
With all the gas fumes coming out, if one of your coil wires spark you will be on fire in no time.
I would do it outside, a long way away from everything. Pull the plugs, tip ski on its side, and spin it over by hand using the coupler behind the engine
ok disable ignition.. pull landord and turn over by hand. after i just about made a huge mistake. ill disconnect the primer. why would it of done this? i have the primer on the line of the main supply . {Realized maybe i shouldnt of I might need it when I am on reserve but left it that way} but i had selector switch running on the reserve for it almost out of fuel. there wasnt any fuel in the primer lines last night.
ok on needle assuming it wasnt that for it has new spring and needle and seat 90# and it hasnt done this until last night with the primer. i was just assuming. ok so i took the manifold of for i thought i could get better excess to fuel. noticed gasket was leaking anyways. took out reeds and noticed a bolt trapped in it. one mesh screen was also missing. he bolt is common for i found a couple floating around in the hull when i purchased it from the scammer. I also noticed there isnt any gaskets. So what about the reed. what do you suggest going with. 701 bored over once riva head factory pipe
Store ski with full tank or with the cap cracked open and you won't have this problem again. Fuel pressure pushed fuel through N/S is probably what happened. Just a guess
agree, i usually disconnect one way valve. but guess i got there to late. tank was almost empty besides the 2 gallons. atleast the motor is ruined right? now for reeds and a gasket damn they are expensive
