Hello, I'm very new to Jetskis. I bought a Rickter Edge 2023, and I am hoping someone can give some sound advice.

First question: It came with a short Ride Plate. I will do only flat water riding with wake jumping and I am more concerned for stability over flipping etc. Should I get a different Ride Plate?

2nd Question: I have a pretty stout gash in the keel of the hull. Can you recommend what I should use to put a "patch" over this please.

Hit up @TOBY. He can sell/make you a carbon plate that is undrilled. Then you can cut it to length you want. I have Medium RRP Plate, and one of his that is about 2" longer for longer rides.

Looks like you got a small spot that is de laminating. I would sand smooth ( Feather until there is no more loose.) Then you may want to lay some glass over that area... Sand smooth then paint. Hard to really tell by the pic.

I would say by looking at that that sanding isn't going to cut it, time to break out the grinder and flap disc , like BK said get rid of any delaminated ,flaky stuff and get down to good material underneath , do not worry how big the patch gets it will get way larger before you are done , you want it to as the strength comes from bonding to the surrounding undamaged area , any surface you want to bond to needs to be rough so the epoxy will stick to it , in the business we call it tooth , use epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth as needed , I tend to overfill the area with cloth and resin , then I grind it back down to the shape I want , it's nasty work but give the best end result , after that fair it out with fairing compound and paint it .
