Freestyle Plexus for pfp inserts, need a gun? How much plexus?

Power factor sells it in 50ml an 380ml, 380 seems like a lot. All I need to do is put some strap hooks for the pfp an maybe some inserts to move the battery box. How much do I need an is the gun necessary? Also they have 5min an 45min which one, guessing the slow cure would be stronger. Thanks

g-flex is great for inserts, pump shoe, etc.

Amazing stuff. I repaired a couple motor mount inserts with that stuff.

You are best to go with a few 50 ml because you will need to buy plexus gun which is $160 as well
But g flex does not have the strength that plexus does unless you are going to glass it in as well.

Plexus and forget and either cure will work . But in ax I would go 45 min because it will be more 20 min there just like in Florida .

Epoxy with cabosil and a little lightweight fiberglass cloth. Mix in a little black pigment and you are good to go. Uscomposites.com

Cheap and works. Never had an insert pop up ever.

same type gun but of course plexus is a 10:1 ration not a 12:1 ratio so you have to pay additional $130

but i only stock the large size 380ml mostly because i dont try to retail it . expensive and you have to buy the gun . But i have been toying around the idea to start to carry the small 50ml size if you are interested let me know . if not jamestown distributers usally has it at retail as well

Well I just ordered the small gun and a few 50ml setups from pfp. Next question is, is it a good idea to cut some square pieces of carbon an lay over the strap hooks an plexus those and the hooks to the hull? Figure it should help spread the load an give more strength right?

I used Plexus (thanks to sportfish) to repair my pump shoe and it worked like a champ. I roughed up the edges and filled the internal void with it and let it cure over night. Hard as a rock next morning and able to smooth with a dremel. Strong as original...Maybe more.

And I think I bought too much, owell. Big thanks to Mark Baxter who had to order the gun, since it took about a week he overnighted it to me at no additional cost.
