I need to replace my plug wire and wanted to make the tool and do it here, is there any availiable wire (other than the JSS service) that is avaliable and high quality? Gasgas just found out the hard way by missing 2 weekend rides that the stock crap goes bad fast. We had to cut back about an inch to get it working for tomorrow.

any wire lead will work sweet as long as you are using a stock ignition some aftermarket ignitions dont like wire lead it causes interference
jared(waxhead) said he would prefer me to use a carbon lead with my inferno ignition so i used msd lead for cars it should be redily avalible over there any goon quality carbon lead you can get for a high performance car will work fine
i have been running carbon lead for over 12 months now with not even a hicup
hope that helps

The stock plug wire in my '06 went bad. Couldn't believe it.

After reading your problem I told Gasgas about it since he was having a similar problem on his 05, he pulled the boots off to find the front one was missing the spring clip. After thinking that was the problem, he missed the 2nd weekend ride, yesterday when I went over we pulled off the loaner NGK boot and I just reached in and pulled out about an inch of wire from the end.:eek:mfg:

The coil section where it goes thru the center part of the plug wire was completelly broken off on mine. The way the stock boots are installed is pretty cheezy. MSD plug boots are the way to go.
