So, how long (hours) between plug changes?
Seems these two strokes like to foul plugs and NGKs are under $2 at Advance, so no big deal.
Just wondering how many hours you all figure between plugs changes.
Thanx!!!

Eh...in over two years of riding various Superjets, I have never "needed" to replace a plug. I put new plugs in every season start, but I def. don't need to.

You've never fouled a plug?!

I haven't. That includes multiple sinkings. Total loss spark energy may have something to do with that.

I've seen it happen though.

the only time i have had to change plugs is when i was running mrd fuel injection.then i had to change them out every 4 or 5 rides. running carbs maybe once once every other year if that.

every couple of years, or slightly more often if I have an ignition problem.

I clean them at the start of every season if I remember.

they last a long time unless you drop them....

I change mine probably twice a season just for peace of mine. I usually ride fresh water though. When I go to the surf, I carry multiple sets (for me and others ) and sometimes even a set of 7's. The surf is notorious for ignition problems.

I only change a plug when one fouls. Sometimes it goes 3 years or so. It seems the only time a plug fouls is when you really want the ski to run like when you are 2 miles down river and everyone is almost out out of fuel ...:banghead:

I finally just replaced the ones that came in my 03sxr, only because I cracked it when checking my mixture. I have never fouled a plug in any of my pwc in the past 17 years, and didn't have any issues with the old air-cooled motocross/trials bikes before that. Sounds like a few guys have some issues...

Thats what I'm talking about, not that I ever remember to bring some 7's along :banghead: , I've heard its a good idea. I could have used 'em once or twice, that for sure.
