Plugs?

May seem like a newbie question, but I was just about to buy a box of plugs and realized that I'm changing out my head next week. (and I don't know what plugs I'll need!)
I'm currently running br8es in an older a/m head.
Getting an ADA for a 701 w/ average bolt-ons. 33cc domes, approx 200 psi comp.

Also, will it be prudent to richen the gas/oil mix? Going from 185 & 40:1 to 200 & ????
Still gonna run 93 octane pump gas.

Thanx all.
Dan

200psi and 93 oct?hmmmmm!

Yea... I know.... But I have the assurance of a very good engine builder that it will work.
I thought 190 plus needed special fuel.
But I'm no expert. I'm gonna see what happens.

Unless somebody can tell why I should go with 35cc domes vs. 33 cc. I mean, given the choice, wouldn't you go for the higher compression?

chime in!

More compression will help with that snap right off the bottom end. Just don't be out holding it WOT all the way to the ride spot.

You need to buy a EPIC now, you would be very happy!

You're right! Food is over-rated anyway......my family will understand, I'm sure. After all, it's my passion! you wouldn't mess with a man's passion, would you?
I've been wathching your thread... For your motor...yes, for sure.
I'm on a quest. A noble search for the most performance possible from a 701 (prior to port & polish). With a soaked sj hull.
I may not find it. But I will surely pester all members of the x in my conquest!

The important part is that something is learned with every change.
AFter I spend as much as an xs 1000 would have cost, I'll admit defeat.

I'm close.

EPIC is the best money I've spent in a long time.... and no, it's not just for the 1000cc motors.
My ski is just a 701 w/ a b pipe and ada head.

i ran 200psi for a bit and i cut it back to 185psi. i never felt a differance enough from 185 to 200 to justify the extra strain on the motor nor the delema of what fuel to run. i say drop the compresion a bit. just my 2cents.

bpr8es work great too but you can't get them in solid top. They are a little longer than br8es and will put the spark more in the middle of the chamber.
