Is the Square noise pole bracket the same size as the round nose? measured the SN and it is 7 1/2"

No, they are different.

Don't know about the AC pole, but a RN pole can be put on a SN bracket with washers to take up the width and some grinding to the bracket and/or end of the pole. Without grinding the pole will not swing up all the way. IMHO it also is a pain, even with the Hazzard bracket because it eliminates the pole stops and the "kick stand" feature. There are work arounds like running a limiting rope, but it is not as easy as you might think to make it all work right.
P.S. the Hazzard bracket does seems a lot stronger than the stocker
