I remember seeing some of Lenzi's videos where he had it mounted closer to the bottom of the pole. I think the bottom would work better since it doesn't show quite as much movement.

We rode in NH today - not too bad air 57 - water 54.
This is just a camera that Craig got for free that has a strap mounting system that he normally has on his helmet and then he thought we could just wrap it around the lower portion of the pole and see how it worked. It came loose on my second flip- that's when the camera went to filming the top cast part of my pole. I need to invest in a GoPro .....maybe after I buy my new hull
