Im just curious what shortness everybody is running with the shortened bracket, turn plate, and/or pole. Im about to be rocking the -4 pole with stock steering and bracket on my square to get used to riding with a shortened setup and then i may go straight bars and/or -1 turn plate. So whats everybody running?

I'm running a -2in shortened stock handlepole and shortened Wamiltons Turnplate with 0Deg Bars which is good for about another -2.5in for a total of -4.5in. I also verified this to a ski with a stock length pole and steering system.

For me it still is a little too long. I think I need to be at about -6in, but I am 6'1'' with pretty long arms.

It all really comes down to how tall you are/how long your arms are and what your riding style is.

i am 5'11" if not 6 foot (havent measured myself in a while haha) but i have a -2 UMI pole which was -3 over the stock kawi from where i measured and a -1 turnplate with 0 degree bars. so mine is somewhere between -4 and -5 but i havent got to ride it yet........plus you probably dont care cause mine is on a green machine

I cut 4" off my roundnose pole, and drilled some holes in my stock plate to run straight bars. Tried -6 and -7. I left it at -6 for now. Did a couple high speed subs while I was getting used to it, but I like it now. I tried -3 for awhile, but could tell I needed a little more cut off.

I run a -2 pole with standard length turn plate, had a -2 turn plate but it felt too short for me. I know some that run standard pole lenght and turn plate, it's just personal preference.

I don't think your size has anything to do with your perfered pole length. It is what ever you get used to. I am 5' 7" and about 145 pounds. Last year I ran -4 inch bars and -3 inch stock pole. It didn't feel too short. I really never noticed how short it was. It felt good so this year I will be running -4 inch pole and -4 inch bars. So -8 inches this year.

Where do you get -4in steering?
