Pole spring help

My ski has an older Kavinci octagon pole mounted to an EME base. There are two bolts holding the pole on instead of the normal long bolt. The pole is real heavy and wears you out fairly fast. Is there a source for parts to make a pole spring work in this application. I tried calling EME at their shop twice and got no returned call and I messaged chris grace on here and got no response either.

So the nut stops on the bolts shoulder before clamping the poll against the bushing ? What if you add a thick flat washer or 2 with a hole big enough to clear the shoulder then crank it down to get some clamping out it ? I'd add a second nut if that worked as a jam nut .

Could you fit two stainless tower nuts in there? Add one tower nut to the existing threaded portion of your current bolts, a short piece of stainless threaded rod to bridge the space in between and then add a spring. I'm not keen on the EME design, he makes no provisions for varying preferences it seems. I know a fella with an EME and he's been trying to figure something like this out too. I've never given much thought until now though :D
